Looking to Join the Edmonton Basketball Association?

You've come to the right place!

The Edmonton Basketball Association (EBA) is Edmonton's original adult recreational basketball league.
We offer year-round basketball for adults (18+) with divisions ranging from highly competitive to recreational. All games are played at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton.

Can I Register as an Individual?

At this time, our league accepts team registrations only.

If you don't already have a team, don't worry! We have several ways to help you get connected with one.

Option 1 – Join the Official EBA Sub List ⭐

Our Official EBA Sub List is designed specifically for players who want to join the league but don't currently have a team.

Team Representatives can request access to this list and contact players directly when they are:

  • Looking for substitute players
  • Replacing injured players
  • Recruiting new players for future seasons

This is one of the best ways to get your foot in the door and meet teams within the league.

How It Works

Step 1
Complete the Official EBA Sub List Application.

Step 2
Pay the $30 EBA Membership Fee via Etransfer to edmbasketballassociation@gmail.com

Step 3
Complete your mandatory RAMP registration and purchase your Alberta Basketball and Canada Basketball memberships. These memberships provide the insurance required to participate in our league.

Step 4
Once everything is complete, you'll be added to our Official EBA Sub List where Team Representatives can contact you directly when opportunities become available.

Important Things to Know

  • Players on the Sub List cannot already be registered on another EBA team.
  • Players may only be officially registered on one team within the league.
  • Once you play in a division, you become eligible to substitute only in that division or higher.
  • Players who feel they have been placed in the wrong division may appeal their seeding.

Option 2 – Join Our Facebook Community

Many of our teams recruit directly through our Facebook groups.

FACEBOOK GROUP 1

FACEBOOK GROUP 2

Simply join one (or both) of our groups and create a post introducing yourself.

When posting, we recommend including:

  • Name
  • Age
  • Height
  • Men's or Women's league
  • Position(s)
  • Basketball experience
  • Preferred division (if known)
  • Contact information

The more information you provide, the easier it is for teams to determine whether you'd be a good fit.

What Skill Level Do I Need?

Everyone is welcome!

Our league offers divisions ranging from former university and college athletes all the way to recreational players who simply love the game.

New teams and players are placed into divisions based on their basketball experience to help create balanced competition.
