Our league runs out of the Saville Community Sports Centre year 'round.

We offer competitive to recreational level basketball divisions for both men's and women's teams.

We promote "for the love of the game" and "sport for life" mentalities.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ANNOUNCMENT

Our AGM will be taking place on Thursday August 20 at 7:00PM in the COMP GYM at the Saville Community Sports Centre. 

Attendance is MANDATORY if you wish to participate in the upcoming 2026-27 Fall / Winter Season. 



2026-27 FALL / WINTER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Registraton for the 2026-27 EBA Fall / Winter League Season is now open. 

Registration Deadline: Friday August 21, 2026

REMINDERS
  1. Registration via TeamLinkt & Payment must be received by August 21, 2026
  2. Team Rep's or a Team Member from each team will be REQUIRED to be present at our AGM on Thursday August 20, 2026. Attendance is MANDATORY.
    Team's must submit IN PERSON their Letter of Intent at the AGM. 

DETAILS
  • Registration Fee: $3773.10 (includes a $300 performance bond. Please note: This year's registration fee now includes insurance coverage for every player.
  • Our season will run from September 8, 2026 - March 25, 2027.
  • All team's are guaranteed 7 Seeding Round Games, 14 Regular Season Games, & 3 Playoff Games

Team Roster for Summer Teams
Team Rosters are finalized, if you wish to make any changes to your roster now throughout the season, approval must be given by our board.
Please send all player addition requests via email to edmbasketballassociation@gmail.com. 

Individual RAMP Player Registration for Summer Season 
Instructions and a personalized link have been shared with each team representative.  

Team Uniforms for Summer Teams
Teams are required to have matching uniforms with numbers on the front and back.

Be cautious of individuals who claim to be from a
club with a no refund policy. Use your best discretion.

Players have the option to pay the league their
registration fee instead of the team organizer.

Let us know your name and which team you
are putting the money in for. If the team does not
get into the league, you will be refunded your money.


Please be aware that theft problems at the Saville
has been a problem.

Know where your personal items are
and report any suspicious activities to Saville staff.

Please be advised that the U of A has installed
paid parking stalls in the first few rows of the parking
lot near the entrance of the Saville Centre.

Please be aware of where you are parking as to avoid a fines.

You've come to the right place!

The Edmonton Basketball Association (EBA) is Edmonton's original adult recreational basketball league. We offer year-round basketball for adults (18+) with divisions ranging from highly competitive to recreational. All games are played at the Saville Community Sports Centre.


Can I Register as an Individual?

At this time, our league accepts team registrations only.

If you don't already have a team, don't worry! We have several ways to help you get connected with one.

Bylaw policy updates

Use of Ineligible Players

  • If a team uses an ineligible player, that team will automatically forfeit the game.
  • The final score on TeamLinkt will be recorded as 20–0 in favor of the opposing team.

Both Teams Use Ineligible Players

  • If both teams use ineligible players, the final score will be recorded as 0–0 on TeamLinkt.
  • For playoff seeding purposes, any recorded tie will be treated as a loss in the standings.

Scoresheet Submission Requirements & Penalties

  • Scoresheets must be submitted within 2 business days of the game.
  • Failure to comply will result in the following:
    a) If the winning team submits the scoresheet after the 2-business-day deadline, the recorded game result will stand, but the team will be fined $25.
    b) If the winning team does not submit the scoresheet at all, the final score will be recorded as 0–0, and the game will be treated as a loss for playoff seeding purposes, however again, the team will be fined $25.

Regular Season Eligibility 

Remember that only players who have played in (2) Regular Season game will be eligible to play in playoffs.

Saville Centre Locker Room Reminder

Please use the locker rooms in the facility when changing out of your uniforms. The Saville Centre has received a number of complaints regarding teams changing in the gyms, and we kindly ask that everyone respect this policy moving forward.

The locker rooms are equipped for your convenience and privacy, and using them ensures a comfortable experience for all. Thank you for your cooperation.


Announcement: Women’s Division Basketball Size Vote:
Results Are In!

Thank you to all 260 women who took the time to vote — your voice truly shapes the future of our league.

Here’s how the results landed:
63.1% voted to change the ball size to Size 6
26.5% voted to keep Size 7
10.4% were indifferent

With a strong majority in favour, the Women’s Divisions will officially move to a Size 6 basketball starting September 2026.

To support the transition, every team registering for the 2026 Fall/Winter Season will receive one (1) Size 6 basketball as part of their registration.
